What we hold

Short, honest privacy policy. What we store, how we use it, and what we never take.

What we collect on your profile:

  • Legal first and last name (as on the ticket)
  • Date of birth (airlines ask for it when we file)
  • Account email
  • Optionally, mobile number (for text alerts)
  • Agent authorization (you allow Fareward to file on your behalf)
  • Optionally, last four digits of the booking card (helps the airline match the ticket; not a full card number)

What we collect when you add a trip:

  • Your flights (airline, flight numbers, dates, origin, destination)
  • Cabin class and number of seats
  • Total paid (the receipt total)
  • Confirmation number and last name (needed to file with the airline)
  • Your email address (to notify you if the fare drops)
  • Optionally, your mobile number (for text alerts)

What we use it for: We watch the fare for the same flights in the same cabin. If it drops, we file with the airline as your agent using your confirmation, last name, and date of birth. We email you when we file and when the credit lands.

How long we keep it: Until your trip flies or until you ask us to delete it. After your flight departs, we keep the watch record for our own records (to track what worked and what didn't) but we don't use your confirmation or last name after the trip ends.

What we never take:

  • Your airline login or password
  • 2FA codes or one-time passwords
  • Access to your email inbox (unless you explicitly forward us a confirmation)
  • Full payment card numbers. If you pay by card, card data goes to Stripe (or another secure processor), not our servers. We may keep a processor token or last-four only

Email forwards: If you forward a confirmation to [email protected], we receive that one email. We parse the flight details from it. For forwards, we only see that one email, not the rest of your inbox.

Who sees your data: Fareward staff who need it to watch fares and file changes. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. When we file with the airline as your agent, we send them what their change path asks for: typically confirmation, passenger name, date of birth, and the new fare request.

Payments: You pay 20% of the savings only after a credit lands. If you pay by card, Stripe (or another secure processor) handles the card data. We don’t store full card numbers on our servers.

Your rights: You can ask us to delete your trip data anytime by emailing us. You can revoke authorization for us to act as your agent. If you're in California, the EU, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, you have the rights those laws grant (access, correction, deletion, portability).
